Silver Lake Academy offers occasional kayaking opportunities on Silver Lake for students and their families. This activity is designed to provide a safe, enjoyable outdoor experience while building connection between students and their parents.
Because Silver Lake is a private lake, only property owners and their invited guests are permitted to use it.
The launch site for Silver Lake Academy families is 200 Silver Lake Terrace, Palatka. Reservations are required.
For families who own their own kayaks and life jackets: Students and one parent may launch from the school property at 200 Silver Lake Terrace. Participants must supply their own life jackets and are not permitted to launch without one. All participants must sign a liability waiver prior to the activity. Reservations are required.
When school kayaks are used: Silver Lake Academy has a limited number of kayaks available. Participation is restricted to one student and one parent per session. Life jackets are provided. All participants must sign a liability waiver. Reservations are required.
