STATEMENT OF FAITH

Our Christian Foundation

At Silver Lake Academy, we believe that true education addresses the whole student — mind, character, and spirit. Our school is built on a solid Christian foundation that integrates biblical truth throughout every aspect of learning and school life.

The Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) Curriculum

Silver Lake Academy uses the Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) curriculum, delivered through individual workbooks called PACEs. This proven, self-instructional program is designed to give students a strong academic foundation while grounding them in a biblical worldview.

Unlike programs that treat the Bible as a separate subject, ACE weaves Scripture, biblical principles, and God’s truth into every academic subject — from English and Social Studies to Math and Science. Students learn not only facts, but how those facts relate to God’s Word and His design for the world.

Each PACE includes Scripture memory, biblical application, and character development, helping students see that faith is not separate from learning — it is the foundation of it.

Building Christlike Character

A central focus of the ACE curriculum is the development of 90 Character Traits of Jesus Christ. These traits — such as Attentive, Compassionate, Diligent, Faithful, Forgiving, Honest, Humble, Kind, Obedient, Patient, Respectful, Responsible, Self-Controlled, and many others — are taught, modeled, and reinforced throughout the school year.

Students study one character trait at a time, learning its definition, memorizing related Bible verses, and seeing how Jesus perfectly demonstrated that quality. The goal is for students to grow not only in knowledge, but in Christlike character that will guide them for life.

A Foundation That Endures

In a world of shifting values, Silver Lake Academy provides students with an unchanging foundation — the truth of God’s Word. Our Christian foundation supports academic excellence while helping young people develop strong moral character, a biblical worldview, and a heart for serving God and others.

Our Partnership With Parents

Silver Lake Academy partners with parents who desire a Christ-centered education for their children — one that develops strong academics, godly character, and readiness for a purposeful life, whether that path leads to college, a skilled trade, or meaningful work in the community.

Personal Faith and Church Involvement

While Silver Lake Academy is an independent school and not affiliated with any specific church, we believe that a vibrant personal faith in Jesus Christ is essential for every student. We encourage each young person to develop their own relationship with the Lord through prayer, Bible study, and daily obedience to God’s Word.

We also strongly encourage students and their families to be actively involved in a local Bible-believing church. Regular church attendance, participation in youth activities, and service within the body of Christ are vital for spiritual growth and accountability.

Silver Lake Academy's Founder and Head of School, Dr. Sharon Fair, and her family attend the First Baptist Church of Palatka and encourage all students and families to participate in a local church that aligns with their convictions.

Preparing Students for Purposeful Work

Silver Lake Academy prepares students for meaningful futures, whether that path leads to college, a skilled trade, vocational training, entrepreneurship, or direct entry into the workforce. The school recognizes that college is not the right or necessary goal for every student. Working in a trade or providing valuable services with one’s hands is honorable work that contributes to society and reflects a biblical understanding of diligence and stewardship. The goal is to equip each young person with strong academics, solid character, and practical readiness for the calling God has for their life.
